TPD Data For Famous Brands

Enigwatch Watch Winding Database

At Enigwatch, we offer a comprehensive database of watch winding requirements, covering nearly all mechanical timepieces. Our goal is to provide watch collectors with the convenience of quick access to TPD (Turns Per Day) and directional settings for their watches. Using the correct TPD setting is essential for extending the lifespan of your timepiece and minimizing unnecessary maintenance. In most cases, the information in our database is sourced directly from the manufacturers’ official websites.

While we strive for accuracy, Enigwatch cannot guarantee the completeness or precision of the database. The details provided are compiled to the best of our knowledge. If you are unsure of your watch's TPD setting, we recommend contacting the manufacturer or distributor directly for confirmation.

What to Do if Your Watch’s TPD Setting Isn’t in Our Database:

  • Place your fully wound automatic watch on the winder.
  • Set your winder to bi-directional winding at 1000 TPD.

If this setting does not keep your watch wound, try selecting a single direction: clockwise (CW) or counterclockwise (CCW). Once you’ve found a direction that works, adjust the TPD to the lowest setting that still keeps the watch wound.

Note: Most modern watches are bidirectional and can wind in both directions (CW and CCW). However, unidirectional watches will only wind in one direction. In such cases, use the database to find the correct winding direction for your watch, or experiment by starting with CW, and if it doesn't wind, try CCW. If neither direction works, we recommend consulting your watch manufacturer for further guidance.
