John F Kennedy Watch Collection: Timepieces Crafted With Elegance Gold

The John F. Kennedy Watch Collection transports you to a world of classic beauty. Take in the splendor of hand-made gold watches. Learn about opulence today!

John F. Kennedy had a watch collection worthy of his position as the 35th President of the United States. Amazingly, his pals gave him all of these watches as presents. The charisma and attractiveness of John F. Kennedy continued to draw people to him even today.

Each and every one of JFK's gold watches radiated sophistication. Kennedy was spotted sailing in 1961, his first year as president, while wearing an Omega Ultra Thin Ref OT3980. Despite the Omega's uncharacteristically square case, many people assume it's a Cartier. Even so, Kennedy treasured this particular Omega because it was inscribed with the words "President of the United States / John F. Kennedy / From His Friend Grant."

John F. Kennedy Gold Rolex Day-Date

Have you heard the incredible tale of John F. Kennedy's gold Rolex Day Date? After her memorable performance of a risqué "Happy Birthday" song, Marilyn Monroe gave him this watch for his 45th birthday. That watch, engraved with "Jack / With Love as always / from MARILYN / May 29th, 1962," became a token of their love and devotion to one another. There have been whispers of an affair, but no hard proof has surfaced. Kennedy, curiously, hardly ever wore the timepiece. Surprisingly, this photo is the only one we have of Monroe and Kennedy together.

Did you know that Kennedy had a fantastic gold Nastrix watch? David and Evangeline Bruce, prominent members of society and staunch backers of JFK's presidential bid, gave it to him. The watch was a gift of appreciation for Kennedy's appointment of David Bruce as U.S. ambassador to Great Britain; it was inscribed "To President John F. Kennedy / from the Evangeline / 1963." This ancient clock sold at auction in 2009 for only $120,000, finding a new home with an unnamed bidder. It came with a letter guaranteeing its authenticity.

Let's take a closer look at a historical clock that's quite outstanding. While John F. Kennedy did not own a gold Cartier Tank watch, his brother-in-law, Prince Stanislaw "Stas" Radziwill, gave one to Jackie Kennedy as a present in 1963. This magnificent artwork, inscribed "Stas to Jackie / 23 Feb. 63 / 2:05 AM to 9:35 PM," honors a 50-mile walk that Jackie and JFK took in Palm Beach that will never be forgotten. A record-breaking $379,000 USD was paid at auction in 2017 for this exceptional timepiece, much exceeding the original estimate of $120,000 USD.
